Yeah, we'd run out of things to do pretty fast. That's why old Megs wanted to get his claws into the Cube. Give him the 'ultimate power' to restore our home to its past glory without the tussel of cleaning it of his dear brother's influence.

Of course, he didn't get his hands on the bloody Cube. We'd already shot it into the void, but this little maneuver cost my kid his voice.

That was one of the few days where you could see my surviving third rebelling so... open against his lord. Didn't help with a whining kid, but at least it showed that he still cared. Even though he'd probably nuke us all to the ether if he could.

You wanna know something about my Scream? Dear, beautiful Scream, who's one of the best flyers of his generation? I always wondered why he'd hook up with Megatron's heir.

There's nothing interesting about the Cube. It's just this really old relic that has supposedly started life on Cybertron. Something like your Fiat Lux, with an eternal reservoir of energy. Enough energy to keep our planet alive and still create a new spark from time to time.

Megs and the Prime were co-rulers, ya know? It was their job as Prime and Lord High Protector to keep the Cube as their third. Made them somewhat of a divine kind of unity. Of course, that didn't keep Megatron from hooking up with two earth-bound thirds.

The only thing I regret about that is the fact that wings can only be inherited when there's two pairs of them in your creator third. As they say: One pair of wings lets you yearn for what you cannot have. Two pairs show you what is possible. Three pairs of wings and the heavens weep in happiness. I'd really, really like to be able to fly.

If I were able to construct myself some wings or not doesn't matter. It's my alt-mode that has no wings. And that is the kind of wing that my people saw, once upon a time many generations ago, as almost the pique of perfection.

Flyers are bigger than the average. They are smarter, most of the time. They live longer. They are a totally different caste than the rest of us.

And I, even though Megs is also a flyer, am nothing more than a small earth-bound. Our genetics do not work that way.

It is similar to your species' divition of genders. Even though a male can feel like the female counter-part, even though he can become through surgery a realistic facsimile, deep within his body he is still what he always was - a male. No re-formatting can change that his genetic make-up tells what it does.
